Dauren Sartayev

  • Education

    Mr Sartayev holds a law degree from Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University in Almaty. He also has an MBA in strategic management and entrepreneurship from Moscow International Higher Business School and an MBA in strategic management from Kazakh Economic University named after T. Ryskulov

    Mr Sartayev has served as deputy chairman of the Management Board of Halyk Bank since July 2018 and has been a member of the supervisory board of Tenge Bank since March 2023

  • Previous Executive Positions

    Mr Sartayev began his career in banking in 2004 at Kazkommertsbank, where he worked as manager, head of SME banking and head of small business banking. From 2010 to 2012, he served at Temirbank as head of credit risk, branch director and director of problem loans. In June 2016, he was appointed a member of the management board and managing director of Kazkommertsbank, overseeing corporate lending, SME banking and the branch network. In July 2017, he became deputy chairman of the management board of Kazkommertsbank.

    Before his career in banking, Mr Sartayev worked at Kcell, where he headed the branch in Shymkent and managed offices in Almaty and Almaty region, and at the Kazakhstan representative office of Ernst & Young
