Roman Maszczyk

Roman Maszczyk holds a master„s degree and a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Warsaw. He also completed postgraduate studies in mathematics at the University of Oxford and in banking at the Warsaw School of Banking and Finance

Mr Maszczyk has served as deputy chairman and a member of the Management Board of Halyk Bank since April 2022. Since September 2023, he has also been head of Risk Management

Mr Mashchyk joined Halyk Bank in October 2020, serving as director and project manager of the Digital Lending Risk Department and director of the Chief Data Scientist Office. In April 2022, he became deputy chairman and a member of the Management Board, as well as chief compliance controller. In September 2023, he assumed the role of head of Risk Management

Before joining Halyk Bank, Mr Mashchyk held a wide range of senior positions in banking and risk management. He was deputy chairman of the management board and director of the Risk Department at BankCenterCredit, commercial director of Asseco Kazakhstan, and deputy chairman of the management board of CRO. He served as adviser to the chairman of the management board at Eurasian Bank and at Bank Pocztowy, and as adviser to the chairman and managing director for Risks and Risk Management at PKO BP SA in Poland.
