Yertay Salimov

Mr Salimov holds a degree in finance and credit from the Kazakh State Academy of Management

Mr Salimov has served as deputy chairman of the Management Board of Halyk Bank since September 2020, a position he also held from February 2015 to October 2019. He has been a member of the board of directors of Halyk Finance since February 2019 and was elected to the board of directors of Halyk Global Markets in November 2023

From August 2018 to November 2022, Mr Salimov was a member of the supervisory board of Halyk Bank Tajikistan. From October 2019 to August 2022, he served as director of the Astana region branch of Halyk Bank. From March 2021 to February 2022, he was chairman of the supervisory board at Halyk Collection.

Mr Salimov joined Halyk Bank in August 1995 and has extensive experience in operations. Over the course of his career at the Bank, he has held a wide range of roles, including deputy head of the non-trading operations and precious metals desks in the foreign exchange operations department; leading banker on the precious metals handling and precious metals desks in the international operations department; chief banker on the commodity desk in the trade finance and commercial departments; senior dealer in the treasury; head of forex, money market operations and trading operations in the treasury; deputy director and director in the treasury;
